Alibaba

• Alibaba has announced the roll out its rival to ChatGPT called “Tongyi Qianwen”.

• “We are at a technological watershed moment driven by generative AI and cloud computing” - Daniel Zhang CEO of Alibaba.

Amazon

• Amazon CEO Andy Jassy confirmed today that Amazon has been working on generative AI and its own large language models.

• “Let’s just say that LLMs and Generative AI are going to be a big deal for customers, our shareholders, and Amazon.”

Google

• Google is working to build a new search engine and add artificial intelligence features to its existing offerings that would try to anticipate users’ needs under a project code-named “Magi”.

• More than 160 people are working on it, with initial plans to release the features to as many as 1M people in the US and increase to 30M by the end of 2023.

Twitter

• Elon Musk said earlier today on a Twitter Spaces that Twitter currently has around 1500 employees down about 80% from when he took over the company.

• Elon also said he thinks Twitter could be cash flow positive this quarter.

Oh and Elon created a new company X.AI Corp. Is this the start of TruthGPT?
